Words cannot describe the seething hatred I have for freelance profile sites that let you get all of the way through the process, and THEN inform you that it's a pay site.

My severance won't arrive until the 15th. This is bad, as I have lots of bills due before that date. That is also the last day of my mortgage payment grace period, so if there's a glitch and the severance is late I'm stuck with a $50 late fee. I've begged HR to expedite this; they say no way.
